Dr. Misra is a member of Herbalife’s
Nutrition Advisory Board (NAB), based in India. The

Anoop Misra is director and head of the diabetes and
metabolic diseases department and a senior
consultant in internal medicine at the Fortis Group of
Hospitals, New Delhi. He is former professor of
medicine and diabetologist at the All India
Institute of Medical Sciences located in New Delhi, where he
studied for his medical degree. Dr Misra has also been on
the faculty of the University of Texas Southwestern
Medical Center and Royal London Medical School in
the UK
Community outreach is an important area for Dr Misra
and he is active in programs that bring health and
nutrition education and awareness to school aged
children and those of disadvantaged background and
also to women in urban slums.
He has been published in more than 150 scientific
papers in international journals; received multiple
awards including the highest award for medical
science in India, namely the Dr. B. C. Roy Award; and has
served as the personal physician to two Prime
Ministers of India. He is a reviewer for several
prestigious international journals which includes
"The Lancet" and "Circulation."
